Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

• User: Any person who accesses or uses the Amifiel application, provided that they register at least one pet (canine or feline). Without registering a pet, they will not be able to access the features of the app or the website.
• Amifiel: The mobile application and website developed and offered by CHAVSA COSTA RICA S.A.
• Services: Features offered by the app free of charge in its basic version to the general public who own pets. These features include reminders, profile creation, and control of feeding, weight, vaccines and expenses. For features to be developed in new versions of the application, such as, but not limited to, veterinary agenda, location of nearby services, online shopping, a customized reminder panel, among others, annual or monthly charges may apply, for which the Amifiel user must give their consent; otherwise, they would not be using these services and Amifiel is released from any responsibility for providing them free of charge.

2. Registration and account

• To access all features, you must create an account by providing truthful and up-to-date information, starting with the user account and then registering at least one pet (dog or cat), up to a maximum of 5 pets per user.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
• It is not permitted to use false data, impersonate third parties or use another person's account.

3. Permitted use

• Amifiel is intended exclusively for personal, non-commercial use. The user may not charge for or commercialize its use to third parties.
• The user agrees to use the Amifiel application lawfully and respectfully, without infringing the rights of third parties or violating current legislation.

4. Personal data protection

• The application collects and processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms.
• The data may include information about the user and their pets, such as name, age, medical history and the brands they consume, and basic data may be stored to ensure the proper functioning of the e-commerce.
• We are committed to protecting your information in accordance with the applicable laws on privacy and data protection.

5. User content

• By uploading information, images or any other content to the application, you guarantee that you have the necessary rights to do so and you grant Amifiel a limited license to use such content exclusively within the operation of the application.

6. Responsibilities and limitations

• Since the user is the only one who can enter the data of their pet(s) into the application, they accept that the Amifiel application is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. The application offers reminders and general guidance, but any question about your pet's health must be consulted with a veterinarian, for which the user accepts and respects that the only recommendation for keeping your pet healthy is professional veterinary care, releasing CHAVSA COSTA RICA S.A. and all its representatives from any responsibility for the health and general condition of the pet(s) registered by the user.
• We do not guarantee the continuous availability of the service or the absence of errors, for which the user agrees to release CHAVSA COSTA RICA S.A. from responsibility for the consequences of any such interruption.

7. Modifications

• We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through the application or by registered email.
• Additionally, CHAVSA COSTA RICA S.A., owner of the Amifiel brand, reserves the right to modify the application to optimize its efficient and correct operation, without prior notice to users, and we commit to always handling all information privacy.

8. Account cancellation

• Amifiel reserves the right to close accounts at its sole discretion if it determines that the application is being used improperly: use of false data, continuous inactivity for a minimum of 6 months, or infringement of these Terms and Conditions.

9. Applicable law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, without prejudice to the applicable consumer protection rules.

10. Intellectual property rights

• By downloading and registering in the application, the user accepts and respects that all graphic images, texts, the Amifiel brand and all the features contained in the application, present or future, are the exclusive intellectual property of Amifiel, which is a registered trademark of CHAVSA COSTA RICA S.A., and that they may not be used by any user for commercial purposes; this includes the use of the Amifiel logo without written approval by email from the company CHAVSA COSTA RICA.
